Since 2004 SOKENDAI (the Graduate University for Advanced Studies) has been sponsoring Asian Winter Schools for various branches of science. This year, following the successful March-2008 and January-2012 events and once again under their sponsoring, National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) is organizing a winter school for solar physics, run jointly by Hinode Science Center and Astronomy Data Center. The winter school offers lectures and hand-on experience with the latest data from Hinode and other instruments. As the name suggests, the supposed participants are mainly from Asian countries but we hope not to discourage students and young post-docs from other areas to participate as well. Limited travel fund will be available. The list of lecturers includes: Takashi Sakurai (Flare physics, space weather and space climate), Yoshinori Suematsu (Hinode high-resolution observations), and Takashi Sekii (Solar interior, helioseismology, and dynamo).
Registration Deadline : 16 November 2015, 10am(JST)
Registration closed and all the participants confirmed.
LOC: Tetsuya Watanabe, Takashi Sekii (NAOJ)
