Back to the Surface: An Update on Coordinating Hinode Observations with the Parker Solar Probe Encounters
We report on efforts to coordinate Hinode observations of the solar atmosphere with the Parker Solar Probe encounters. Mapping in situ measurements back to the surface of the sun are difficult enough. Performing coordinated observations requires having this information in advance. In this poster we describe the methodology used in planning for encounters 1 (October 31 - November 11, 2018), 2 (March 30 - April 10, 2019), and 3 (August 27 - September 7, 2019) and present some of the Hinode data taken during these encounters. We also discuss the application of this methodology to the Solar Orbiter Mission, which is scheduled to launch next year and will face similar planning challenges.
